How we collect and use (process) your personal information

Take Time for Art collects personal information about users to our website in the following ways:

Cookies

Through the use of cookies we collect the following: (IP) addresses the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other usage information about the use of Take Time for Art’s website, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, debug, maintenance, to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences. These addresses are collected through tools such as Google Analytics, our web server, Akismet, and Vimeo. By clicking on each name, you can access the individual privacy policies.

For users who choose to join our newsletter or become customers

As a business we recognize that we have a relationship with our users. In order to inform and serve our users, we offer both information and services through our newsletters and products. Below are the tools we use to deliver information and products. By clicking on the name of each tool you can access their individual privacy policies. If you choose to join our newsletter or become our customer we collect the following information:

Account Registration in our Database
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • IP Address (useful for tracking activity on your account and notifying you if a sign-in came from an unknown IP Address)

This data is stored for as long as the user has an account with us. We are able to delete this data at the user's request. This data (even after deleted) will still be retained in any database backups we store for up to 30 days. When restoring the database from a backup, we will ensure that any deleted users won’t be recreated.

If you become our customer and order products that are shipped to you, we also collect your shipping address in our database.

User data on Stripe

Take Time for Art currently accepts payment through Stripe. This payment option uses advanced SSL encryption to keep your transaction secure. You do not need to hold an account with Stripe to use this method of payment. Please refer to Stripe for full terms and conditions of use.

We share the user's email address with Stripe to send receipt emails for purchases. This data is stored for as long as the user has an account with us. We are able to delete this data at the user's request.

User data in MailChimp

We share first name, last name, and email address with Mailchimp if the user opts in for the newsletter subscription. Users can opt-out of newsletters at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every newsletter. Mailchimp also stores information on IP addresses.

Vimeo

Vimeo uses cookies for tracking purposes on the embedded player as noted in their cookie policy.

With the exception of the tools mentioned above, our policy is not to rent, sell, share or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties. We might contact you from time to time regarding your purchases or the services (like forums and announcement lists) you have subscribed to.

We may also send you promotional announcements from time to time about new products and services that you might find useful.

You may also opt out from receiving information from us and ask us to remove your contact information from our database.
